Where we began

Food can remain available in a business while people elsewhere in the city do not have enough. Connecting the two takes people who can work together within the circumstances of that place. The question behind FoodGiving is how a food-sharing platform could help that connection happen, and what needs to be understood when taking the idea to another city.

How we approached it

DO IN THAI worked on a food-sharing platform with a network around Nairobi, Kenya, then explored the same question in Bangkok through FoodGiving. Both efforts concerned getting surplus food from businesses to people who needed it. Working across these settings meant considering how the same idea could fit different people and local conditions.
